Behind the Creator
Hello! I'm Larissa Sibel, the artist behind Metamorphic Musings. My fascination with clay began during my elementary school art classes, where I remember working on my pineapple sculpture and learning of the enduring nature of ceramics. It struck me that my creations were made of material that could stand the test of time, each unique piece of art becoming a part of my history.
As I continued my studies in ceramics throughout high school and university, the influence of natural elements became a constant thread woven into my work. Today, that connection remains unbroken, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have explored the breathtaking landscapes which have inspired so much of my work. From the raw power of Icelandic volcanoes, to the serene majesty of the Rocky Mountain range, fragments from these incredible places find their way into my pottery. Each piece is handcrafted in my home studio, ensuring its uniqueness and character; just like nature, no two pieces are exactly alike.
I firmly believe that when we passionately pursue what we love, we bring joy and beauty into the world. It is with immense gratitude that I thank you for supporting my small business. My ultimate goal is to bring a smile to your face and inspire you to pursue your own dreams.
